About Jaymi Elford

Jaymi has been reading tarot since she was 13, when she stumbled on The Witches Tarot deck in suburban Denver. Since then, she has become an avid collector of all things related to divination. Jaymi lists the This Might Hurt Tarot, The Creatures Tarot, and The Lighted Window Tarot amongst her favorite decks. You can find her offering online one-on-one sessions or teaching online. Tarot is Jaymi’s inner compass. She reads the cards for herself to seek guidance and gain insight. When it comes to living a tarot-inspired life, Jaymi has a simple philosophy: clear the clutter, find your anchor, and let magic into every aspect of your world.

Not only is Jaymi an accomplished reader, but she’s also a respected member of the international Tarot community. She has taught at Readers Studio, the Bay Area Tarot Symposium (BATS), the North West Tarot Symposium (NWTS), STAARCon, and The International Divination Event (TIDE). She is constantly creating tarot media, writing and editing books on Tarot, and crafting innovative essays for publications such as The Cartomancer. She is also addicted to writing little white books for other decks.

Lo Scarabeo published her first deck, Triple Goddess Tarot, in 2017. Llewellyn Worldwide released her first book, Tarot Inspired Life, in 2019. She hosts two YouTube shows: Cardslingers Coast-to-Coast with Melissa Cynova and Hilary Parry Haggerty and The Jamber’ee with Amber Highland. In 2022, she won two Judges’ Choice CARTA awards for her work on the Heaven and Earth Tarot with Jack Sephiroth. She has also received two COVR awards for her work with The Cartomancer magazine.

Jaymi resides in Portland, Oregon, with her ragdoll Lily. She enjoys her non-tarot time in the Pacific Northwest, exploring its natural beauty, hiking, running, and spinning fire poi. She also writes and plays board, card, and video games.

Some might say I’m a little obsessed with tarot decks and books. I use Tarot to gain insight or advice, as well as explore how I can integrate the cards into as many aspects of my life. They’re my creative writing companion; I use them to brainstorm and mind map projects and life plans, and I play games with them.
