I emerged from my writing nook about 10 years ago to start teaching. I love sharing my passion for tarot with others and have begun teaching various classes. I provide one-on-one mentoring in the art of reading the cards as well as classroom-based training.

During our sessions, I’ll listen to your goals for working with tarot, then craft a personalized course framework to help you progress from beginner to pro. From Beginning to Professional
Tarot for the Curious
Learn about the mystical art of tarot. Let Jaymi introduce you to that “wicked pack of cards”, their history and myths, and help you select the right reader to guide your questions. This class does not teach how to read. It gives a general overview for the curious. No experience necessary, and no prejudices allowed.
Tarot 101
You can learn the methods to become a skilled and practiced tarot reader. Jaymi teaches beginners how to decode the meanings of the cards, how to use spreads, and gets tarot enthusiasts reading the cards for themselves and others. Bring your favorite deck, a journal, and an enthusiastic learning state of mind.
Going Pro
Are you ready to become a tarot professional but are afraid? Going Pro presents a safe forum where you can learn how to take the fool’s plunge and start your own tarot business. Jaymi Elford has been laying the foundation for her own business for over two years now. While she claims she’s no expert, she’s ready to share her knowledge about what to do, where to go, and how to get those spiffy marketing toys.

Embodying the Archetypes
Join the Tarot Reality Show experience. Embodying the Archetypes involves a guided meditation that allows participants to “become” one of the major arcana archetypes. Once they have embodied their chosen card, host Jaymi Elford then asks those archetypes questions and gives them a chance to interact with each other as if they were real people rather than just images on a card. Part guided meditation and part impromptu acting, this class isn’t for the faint of heart. Are you ready to find out what happens when tarot cards stop being polite and start getting real?
Imbibe and Divine
Imbibe and Divine offers a multi-sensory experience where participants explore tarot and culinary delights. Part wine-tasting and part discussion of the taboos surrounding tarot and drinking, this class aims to examine how alcohol consumption influences tarot readings and reading abilities. No prior knowledge or reading experience is required. You don’t need to memorize meanings or esoteric occult lore either. Participation is encouraged but not mandatory. We’ll have a cash-only bar, so you can enjoy one to two drinks. The class is limited to ages 21 and over, with IDs checked at the door. ( I can do a version using sweets, for all-ages.)
Inspiring the Muse
Interested in writing short stories or books? Want to combine your passion for words with your love of tarot? Inspire your creativity with spreads, tips, and the brainstorming power of tarot. Author Jaymi Elford guides you through developing a plot, characters, and settings. Learn to use your deck as a personalized creativity coach. You’ll leave with the beginnings of a story, complete with characters ready for you to start writing. Bring your imagination, paper, pen, and your favorite illustrated tarot deck.
Journaling with the Tarot
Learn how your favorite deck can become a trusted companion for revealing your secrets. Journaling with the Tarot guides participants through creating, maintaining, and using different types of tarot journals. Jaymi provides you with the knowledge to make a small journal and walks you through several exercises to help get your words flowing. Mix and Match: Playing with two decks
In this fun workshop, author and divination experimenter Jaymi Elford will introduce a progressive system for combining tarot with other cartomancy decks. In this class, Jaymi shows how to use any divination deck (tarot, Lenormand, or others) to bring ritual into your life. Learn to track your daily vibes, interpret the monthly lunar cycles, and align with the seasons using your favorite tarot deck. She’ll also give you a taste of how to use the cards to create a year-long personalized ritual to achieve your goals.

Every person who buys a tarot deck hopes that all the cards are just as perfect as their imagination makes them out to be. Often, there’s a card or two or three that might be off-putting.
