Countdown to BATS, Day Seven

The Sun from the Rider Waite Smith Deck (Dover edition)
The Sun from the Rider Waite Smith Deck (Dover edition)

Yeah, I know I’m a bit late in posting this but I have good reason. Today’s draw is The Sun and it means happiness. In the image on the Rider Waite Smith card, there is an image of a naked child riding a horse. That image always has had a connection to family and happiness. Well, my surprise was that my parents (who I thought weren’t going to make it into town for my 40th) actually arrived last night. So, see? I did have a Sun sort of day.

Countdown to 2014 BATS, Day Six

The High Priestess from The Shadowscapes Tarot

Today’s card is The High Priestess. She is the ultimate oracle, the keeper of the unknown, and secrets. The original oracle, the high priestess utilizes her intuitive skills to understand the deeper meanings of life. She reminds me that intuition is important, that knowing is different than KNOWING and that it’s good to exercise one’s intuitive skills daily.

BATS is a great place to hone one’s skills as an intuitive and to expand knowledge. I can’t wait to see what unknown things bubble up to the known during the weekend. I’ve always found magic exists at conventions like these.

As I shuffled the cards for today’s draw, the Queen of Cups popped out. She’s a bold and dramatic woman with a lot of expression and emotion. As my BATS countdown continues, the Queen of Cups reminds me enjoy myself and be as bold and dramatic as I can. Yes, this can be a bit overwhelming to some but as it’s my birth month, it’s time for this Leo to let her mane down and celebrate.

I’m turning 40 this Sunday and on Saturday, Kender has planned a party for me. On this same date, my Mother and Father in law married… making my future with my partner possible. They, along with many of my good friends, will be arriving at my house to enjoy a day of celebration and what other surprises he, and they, have in store for me.

Today I drew the Knight of Swords! Ahoy, we’re off running…we have a plan (and no, it doesn’t include ZipFizzy)! Today’s draw reminds me that before I can just go and have a good time, I need to get things done first. Although, I’m not really sure what those items are because I have finished the second draft of my Tarot book and emailed it to my BETA Team (who are incredibly awesome by the way).

A few weeks ago, I switched over to using a daily paper planner for organizing what I do throughout the day. So far it’s been helping me keep everything organized and gives me a fun check list of things to do. So I guess I’ll just keep to “the plan” and be smart about getting whatever it is done. I do wish time would go faster tho… so I can get my Tarot grove on and see my Glorious Peeps of Tarot (GPoT).

Countdown to 2014 BATS, Day Three

For today’s draw, I pulled the Three of Cups. There is only one thing I can think of when I get this card: friendship! I see this card showing the close friends I have made in the Bay Area over the years. My trip to San Jose always includes enough time to see my beloved friends Rose, Drew, Colin, Ash, and Myles and I am definitely looking forward to having some time to visit with all of them in a few weeks.

I also had a fun photo-shoot today, where I got some cool head-shots done by my partner (who’s becoming quite the photographer). I’ll be updating the site with a new picture of me and using some of the other shots in my promo material for Inner Compass and some other businesses I’m working with.
