18.MAY: Daily Compass Reading

The knight of Pentacles from the Fey Tarot.

The bunny knight is my friend, my love, and my partner. He is the rock which keeps me grounded and moving forward in all my endeavors.

Today’s Compass reading features the Knight of Pentacles from the Fey Tarot

Starting at the North, 3 qualities I see inside this card are: love, grounded, and reflection

Moving towards the East, I will spend an hour in the sun, meditating and thinking about the things that keep me here and what they mean to me.

Moving to the South, I’ll go walking twice this week, hopefully with the bunny knight himself.

Finally circling around to the West, I’ll be going to Denver, to reflect on my family and show my love and support for what we are all going through.

Recap from last post: I got to start working on a new tarot project, something I’ve wanted to try my hand at but the opportunity hadn’t presented itself yet. It has and I’m looking forward to wrapping it up. I also got to dance around to some of my favorite songs.

Introducing the Tarot Backs Desktop Freebie

Tarot Deck Backs Wallpaper

Inspired by this tweet from Benebell Wen, author of Holistic Tarot–I set about to design a suitable desktop background for computers featuring the variety of tarot deck backsides I owned. The backs of the decks can feature art that’s just inspiring as each individual card. Many deck backs feature reversible images, that is, you can’t tell whether or not the cards will be upright or reversed. Others feature a singular image that isn’t reversible.

Last night, kender and I completed the project by fitting as many of my collection into a pleasing pattern and the end result is what you have. In making this collage, I was surprised to see the variety of deck backs and their versatility. I was surprised to see that many of my darker decks didn’t have “dark deck” backgrounds when laying the images out. Please download the image you see here and allow the tarot to inspire you!

How many deck backs do you recognize? What are their names?

Finally circling around to the West, create a new writing playlist to help while I write.

Recap from last post: So far I’ve been accomplishing the weekly and daily tasks that I set for myself when I do these readings. I may not always post my daily Compass readings on the site, but I am doing them.

Today’s Compass reading features the 4 of Cups.

Starting at the North, 3 qualities I see inside this card are: reflection, softness, and slowness.

Moving towards the East, I’m using the time to reflect on my Readers Studio experiences and get some posts up. In the interim I recorded another episode of Tarot Visions that you can listen to.

Moving to the South, I’m going to ease my self and body back into the normal routine after being gone for so long.

Finally, circling around to the West, I’m setting two dates to meditate. I’m inconsistent and I want to integrate the exercise back into my practice.

Recap from last Compass Reading: I completed my 24-hour and weekly action step and felt free, unconditionally loved, and enjoyed my Foolish fun.
